Sylvia Vest

The Sylvia Vest is a size-graded crochet pattern designed for intermediate crocheters. Techniques used include ribbing, colour-changing, and hand sewing a zipper. This is an instant digital download with detailed instructions to create a top in Petite, Regular, or Tall height for sizes 2XS-3XL.

Design
Constructed mainly in single crochet, the design incorporates colour changes to achieve either a soft ombré blend or a bold contrasting look, depending on your yarn selection. 
Due to the fixed-length zipper, this pattern is available in Petite, Regular, and Tall versions. All three are included with purchase; refer to the sizing chart to determine your best fit.

Gauge
Blocked Gauge Swatch: 15 sc sts x 18 rows = 4 x 4”

Materials

5mm crochet hook (adjust as needed to obtain gauge)
4.5mm crochet hook for ribbing

Size 4 worsted weight yarn (I used Heavy Merino by Knitting for Olive)
Estimated amount needed per size: Purchase around 50g more of Colour A than Colour B. Colour A is the top colour and is also used for the armhole and neck ribbing.
2XS–S: approx. 830–975 m total
M–XL: approx. 900 –1,050 m total
2XL–3XL: approx. 1,000 –1,200 m total

#5 (Medium weight) Open-ended zipper. Length required:
Petite: 16”
Regular: 18”
Tall: 20”
